Experiment field

Our research environment that enables and supports the open innovation activities on next-generation mobility

Next-generation mobility including completely autonomous driving creates new values by the collaboration of various fields. The next-generation mobility integrated research building in Gunma University Aramaki Campus (Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture) is designed to have a lot of rooms to be lent to each company as sub-offi ces for divisions of business development and technical R&D of collaborative companies and as a liaison offi ce to grasp the research and development trend of the latest next-generation mobility. It also has a collaboration space with the concept that a variety of companies can interact with each other under one roof.

One of the world’s largest designated test courses (approximately 6,000m2) as a public research organization has been developed.

This is an experiment road with movable road elements (such as signals and signs) for autonomous vehicles. The experiment road itself is a simple fl at road and experiments corresponding to a variety of technology issues can be performed by moving the road elements to make a road environment that meets the experiment purpose.
